Breckenridge Sledding & Tubing

Breckenridge has several locations that offer sledding and tubing activities in winter. Three of my favorite locations are Carter Park, Frisco Adventure Park, and Keystone. While I recommend buying your own sled or tube so you’re always ready for adventures, all of these locations include Sled Sheds, where you can borrow one for the day. While the hill at Carter Park is free, Frisco and Keystone do require a reservation and lift ticket. But the fee is absolutely worth it for the fun!
Breckenridge Gondola
170 Watson Avenue, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
Breckenridge Gondola lets you take in the winter view in the best way possible. The gondolas are completely free and run from June 30th through Labor Day. There are 121 cabins, each with enough space to fit the entire family. And while the gondolas are used mostly by Breckenridge skiers, you don’t need to tear down any slopes in order to enjoy the ride!
Breckenridge Ice Skating
189 Boreas Pass Road, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
Ice skating in Breckenridge tends to be one of my top winter activities for a family-friendly activity. While you can find it all across town, the Breckenridge Stephen C. West Ice Arena is among the best. They offer group discounts, cheap skate rentals, and daily hours. The outdoor rink is open throughout the winter and offers regular disco skate nights!
Good Times Adventures

My absolute favorite Breckenridge winter activity is dog-sledding with Good Times Adventures! I have not met anyone who didn’t enjoy the 6-mile ride through the Swan River Valley. And yes, you get to drive the sleigh! Their awesome team does a quick training before you head out with up to 6 people switching out riding and driving. I promise this exciting adventure will not disappoint!
Breckenridge Resort Ski And Snowboard Lessons

Finally, if you want to make the most of your time in Breckenridge, you need to head to the slopes, where you can find lessons on Peak 8. They give you tons of different options, including private and group lessons. You can also check out lessons tailored to kids of all ages. With their expert instruction, the entire family will have the time of their life!
