I'm Rachel
After calling Breckenridge home for over 15 years, I’ve fallen in love with every season of mountain life. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me snowboarding, cross-country skiing, or mountain biking, soaking in the beauty of these mountains.
I also have a second career in nursing and work part-time in the ICU. These two paths couldn’t be more different, yet somehow they balance each other. At the hospital, I’m often present with families on some of the hardest days of their lives, which has deeply shaped how I see time, connection, and what truly matters.
Because of that, I don’t take the moments I photograph lightly. The laughter, the in-between glances, the way your family is right now, these are the days worth holding onto. It’s an honor to preserve the joy and connection that can so easily pass by too quickly, and to tell those stories in a way that lasts.

This photo perfectly captures some of my favorite things: my husband Andrew, our dog Sherpa, and of course, snow!
Andrew and I met in 2013 while working at the same coffee shop. What started as a great friendship (and a shared love for coffee and bagel sandwiches) eventually grew into something more. When we moved into our first dog-friendly home, Sherpa joined our little family on day one, and life has been an adventure ever since.
After nearly a decade of dating, we tied the knot in 2023 and couldn’t love this mountain life we share together more!

Let’s circle back to that coffeehouse/bakery job. After spending several years covered in flour, crafting lattes, and decorating cakes, the universe played a cute joke and turns out, your girl has celiac disease!
While my days of indulging in classic pastries are behind me, my love for a good bakery lives on. Now, it’s all about the hunt for the best gluten-free goodies around. Trust me, I’ll travel far and wide for a “must-try” GF treat!
Fun fact: This cupcake is from the coffeehouse (Clints) where it all began and I will stand by the fact they have the best GF goodies I've had anywhere in the world so far!

I moved out to Breckenridge fresh out of high-school with dreams of being in the same snowboard magazines that lined the walls of my childhood bedroom.
While some dreams needed modification, my love for snowboarding has made my life out here what it is and I could not be more grateful. The days of hitting towering jumps and competing may be behind me but I'm proud to say I still aim to get on a snow about 100 days a year for the initial love that brought the dream to life!

Rachel was AMAZING!!! My family and I came to Colorado on vacation and decided to have family pictures taken with a different background than we are used to. I reached out to Rachel and set up a session during our stay. She was able to suggest the best time of day for us to get the pictures.
My Florida boys are not used to the cold and she was wise and wonderful and planned ahead and brought blankets to use in between shots. I have gotten such positive feedback from the few pictures I posted. I'm extremely happy that Rachel helped make this such a beautiful success.

She was so good with our kids, patient, and took time to learn what it was we were looking for. And she delivered! We love our memories from Breck and now we have photos to match!

Rachel was FABULOUS!! She is an incredibly talented photographer and captured our relationship and celebration so beautifully. She is great at directing and giving suggestions for where to put hands or how to make small adjustments with your body that translate into beautiful photos! Nothing forced, nothing cheesy, our photos turned out so authentic and we look natural and like we are having fun.
She was super responsive and very communicative and accommodating to my special requests and whacky ideas! She is professional and downright delightful to work with and I cannot recommend her enough!

We scheduled a family/maternity session with Rachel this fall and could not be happier with how our experience went and how the photos turned out! From the communication prior to the session to the day of, Rachel made us feel so comfortable.
She was so great at directing us and capturing our family. With a 2 year old, that isn't an easy task. He was smiling in all the photos! We would highly recommend Rachel as a photographer!

Our family was difficult to schedule a session with to say the least, and Rachel was very understanding and very communicative the whole time. Also, we had several unhappy kiddos, a couple of slow/injured walkers, and were near the bottom of a ski hill where skiers and snowboarders would sometimes race through the area we were posing in. The whole time she was patient and adaptable to whatever we needed. Not to mention our pictures turned out fantastic!
She was a joy to work with and we highly recommend her to anyone searching online for a photographer- including people who, like us, don’t live in the area!
