When you have a younger kid, a good playground is going to be your new bestie. The fact of the matter is that your child is going to have more energy than you know what to do with. A playground gives you a free and easy way to wear them out while activating their imagination. As a Breckenridge family photographer, I adore helping parents find the resources they will love. Whether you call this town your home or you’re just here on vacation, here are the playgrounds in Breckenridge I think you are going to love!
Floradora Drive, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
River Park and Playground is truly a Breckenridge park unlike any other! It connects to the Recreation Path and River Trail and has bike racks for people who want to stop and take in the area. The play equipment was inspired by the surrounding nature, with towers created to look like the mountains just beyond the town. It’s the perfect place for kids ages 2 and up!
847 Airport Road, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
If your Breckenridge kiddo loves to climb, they are going to adore the playgrounds at Kingdom Park! This space has a little bit of everything, including tennis courts, a skate park, a kayak park, and two playgrounds. While younger kids will love the smaller play equipment, older kids are going to adore trying to conquer the multi-level ropes in the main area.
189 Boreas Pass Road, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
High Line Railroad Park is such a charming space, especially if your child adores trains! The play equipment is designed to look like a railroad car, ready to take them to their next great adventure. They have actual defunct train cars surrounding the grounds that you can explore. If you really want to turn your morning at the park into an hours-long activity, head down the trail so you can pay a visit to Isak Heartstone, AKA The Breckenridge Troll!
114 N . Main Street, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
I adore Prospector Park because it’s a little less overwhelming than the other destinations. This Breckenridge pocket park features rock-themed climbing playgrounds that your child can test out. There are park benches surrounding the space, giving you a comfortable place where you can sit and watch your child.
300 S. High Street, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424
Carter Park has a little bit of something for every member of the family. The large green field gives your child a way to get out all their energy while playing with their friends. There are both tennis and pickleball courts, as well as pickleball equipment you can borrow while here. If you have a pup, you can take them to check out the dog park. The hill on the grounds is also one of the best places to sled once it starts to snow.
If you are looking for the perfect place to go with your family, I think you are going to adore these playgrounds in Breckenridge! Now, it’s time to work to make all those memories a little more frame-worthy. That’s where I come in! I am a Breckenridge family photographer, and I adore working with you so you can make the most out of your adventure. If you think my style might match yours, let’s have a conversation so you can decide!
